PLAIN YET DELIGHTFUL

I watched this only because I'm a Mandy Moore fan ever since.

The film isn't that good. Not really bad at all.

I just hope for a more original screenplay. I think they borrowed some scenes from other movies. Some of the scenes are deja vu from TV series and some Hollywood flicks.
Bad direction too.
No good cinematography.
No magic at all.

Mandy Moore is simply awesome for me.
She's an actress!
Not only a singer.

Diane Keaton gave an over-the-top performance.I know she's a fine actress but I just can't feel her character here.
I don't know.

I love the songs they used as part of the soundtrack. I was surprised to hear the Grammy nominated song "Black Horse & The Cherry Tree" by KT Tunstall as the climax song.I love it!

Well, after watching this you would feel good but I'm sure you'll forget the movie after a couple of days.

Why? Because I said so!!!

Hanep talaga itong film na ito!!!

Immaculate direction from the man who directed Dawn Of the Dead.

The screenplay is boring pero binawi sa ganda ng effects, great musical score at cinematography.

I love the comic feel. As in I was saying WOW all the time!!! Ansarap manood sa DOLBY cinema. Hanep talaga ang experience!!!!

Erogenous??? Up to sawa ka sa mga sexy costumes ng mga Spartans at ni King Xerxes. Kung weakness mo sexy 6-pack ng mga hunks??? Wag mo palampasin ito. Dami sobra 300 ba talaga sila.? Then Xerxes' sexy costume. I Love it. Basta I want it so bad for Halloween party. he he..

Question ko lang??? Bakit R-13???
This film is almost violent as Apocalypto! Maraming sex scenes pa. Daming nudity pero R-13??? How come?? Apocalypto was R-18. Tapos 2 cowboys na naghalikan lang R-18 din at painting lang ni Da Vinci na may puzzle muntik na di mapanood. MTRCB what's goin on???

Anyway, I enjoyed it so much.

THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS



The story of the movie is just run-of-the-mill. Very typical “from rags to riches” formula. I always see that in Filipino films. I still like it though because of Will Smith’s believable acting and the cuteness of his son Jaden.

The movie is depressing. I don’t know but I didn’t cry. I wanted to shed tears but there’s nil. Bummer! I was planning to weep before entering the cinema. Don’t fret coz you may cry here. It’s just me.

The very good thing about here is the inspirational story of Chris Gardner. His pursuit of happiness. At first I was intrigued with its title. “Hey they spelled it wrong! Happyness? With Y? Why?”. It was explained in the film so I won’t spoil here for you.
The inclusion of the Rubik’s Cube is awesome too.

I like biofilms such as “Erin Brockovich”. It was the ultimate moving film for me. Of course it was nominated for Best Picture, Director, Screenplay & Actress; eventually made Julia Roberts an Oscar winner! Will was nominated here but he didn’t win and it’s the only nomination from this film.

I think the film will move you too.
