Are they kidding nominated siya for BEST PICTURE, DIRECTOR, ACTOR, SUPPORTING ACTRESS & ADAPTED SCREENPLAY sa OSCAR?For me BEST ACTOR lang dapat.

Honestly, iba kasi taste ng US critics pati mga OSCAR jurors. This film is not for all.
The screenplay is simply boring and harrowing sometimes. Nag-iiba lang ang emotion dahil sa intelligent performance ni Philip Seymour Hoffman. Galing niya i swear as Truman Capote. Effective siya bilang boring gay writer. Amazing actor!

Di ko lang ma-gets bakit pati director nominated. Napakasimple lang ng pagkagawa nito. Imagine inisnab pa si Peter Jackson sa KingKong. Even the excellent Rob Marshall sa Memoirs of a Geisha. So unfair.

Higit sa lahat Catherine Keener too? Huh? Effortless performance, boring character tapos nominated? Honesty dinadaanan lang siya ng camera. Shameful!

Well, sa mga movie buffs lang ito. I just enjoyed Hoffman's acting ang Clifton Collins Jr as Perry Smith. Maganda ang harmony ng dalawa.

Of course expected na ang eventual death scenes. So dont expect another twist. I must say that the photo conundrums are amazing. Original screenplay. I love it.
Gosh!!! So gory here this time. Bloody bloody bloody. Kids must stay away.

The acting is just plain but it's ok.
I wasnt disappointed honestly.

I hope i have the gift of premonition. I would use it in a good way but I thinks it's a bit scary. Wag na lang.

Agree ako na hindi siya nominated for BEST PICTURE sa OSCARS. Sa technical aspects lang talaga kayo mapapabilib dito.

First is the ART DIRECTION. Super ganda talaga. I was surprised because they surpassed the descriptions from the book.

Next is the CINEMATOGRAPHY. I love it. Naaalala ko tuloy ang THE LAST SAMURAI pero the best ang MEMOIRS.




The ORIGINAL SCORE of Sir John Williams is so oriental. Ang sarap pakinggan. Bagay sa bawat scenes.

Then the SOUND MIXING too. Watch this on a DOLBY SURROUND THEATRE. Mapapabilib talaga kayo sa sound. As in wow!!!

Then of course the COSTUME DESIGNS of the geishas are colorful and splendid.

I just didnt like the SCREENPLAY. They should have made it as a Japanese Film. Nominated pa sana sila for BEST FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM. Super effort na kasi sila ka-a-acting in English pero not convincing itong mga Asian Actresses/Actors. Bad accent kasi. Im disappointed.

Well, better luck next time Mr. Rob Marshall. You were snubbed again for being the BEST DIRECTOR. Amazing work here. Hats off to you!!!

I am still recommending this film. Look for the inner beauty of the geishas coz they're inexplicable.

Ang Lee made it again!!! After Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, this is an another Oscar masterpice from him i must say. Great

job from the Chinese director.

You dont have to be "queer" para maappreciate mo itong controversial film. In fact the 2 strong characters like Ennis del Mar

(Heath Ledger) & Jack Twist (Jake Gylenhaal) proved in this film that they ain't that queer actually. The word "gay" wasnt
used in the movie. The two cowboys were just in loved in a wrong place & time or maybe i should say "in loved in a tempting
place and erogenous time". They wished to quit the affair but they just couldn't do it. That's TRUE LOVE.

The adapted screenplay was perfect & dainty. It was so deep & melancholy.

The musical score was so nostalgic. You can feel that the guitar was lamenting. So perfect for the scenes.

I love the shots from beginning til end. Every frame is like a painting. Spectacular cinematography. The mountain is so refreshing and the river is so pristine. Parang gusto mo talagang lumipad ngayon din sa Wyoming to see the place.

Unfortunately the whole picture was filmed in Alberta, Canada.

I must say that the first love scene of Ennis & Jack was done in a decent way by Ang Lee. It was subtle but intense. Their
kissing scenes are unforgettable. You can actually feel the passionate hungry snog by the two cowboys. Closet queers kissing

like that was a bit shocking. Honestly, the first kiss in the mountain was so heartrending that I cried. The second snogging scene in Ennis' home was the best. It was so amazing that you wouldn't notice that your tears are flowing slowly. It was a poignant scene.




I think the naked cowboy adventures were marvelous. Two beefcakes swimming in an immaculate river was a stylish shot.


I adored Ang Lee for being fair. He made sure heterosexuals will enjoy the movie too by exposing the clandestine pulchritude of Anne Hathaway and Michelle Williams. It was necessary though in the story.

Heath Ledger was good in his cowboy accent.That last scene oh my God just watch out for that. Prepare your hanky.

Michelle Williams is deserving with her nomination as Supporting Actress. See her reaction on her discovery about Ennis & Jack.

Anne Hathaway matured so much here. Our Princess Mia in The Princess Diaries is now a beautiful woman. You will love her more.

Jake Gyllenhaal was quiet good. I was surprised he was nominated.

Please watch this breakthrough film.
Bring your hanky coz Ennis del Mar will stab your heart. Be ready to cry.

I hope this film will rake the Oscar golden statuettes.

Steven Spielberg did it again!
He deftly & beautifully directed this Oscar material film. Wow!!! Now, I am confused who will be my bet for Best Director coz Ang Lee is also amazing in Brokeback Mountain. The direction is so remarkable.

The adapted screenplay is so intelligent. It was adapted from the book "Vengeance" by Tony Kushner. Remember he won an Emmy for his brilliant work in Angels In America. This is a clever approach to a gripping terrorism & violent vengeance.

The musical score is so mellifluous to the bloody & gruesome sequence. Siyempre, Si Sir John Williams yata gumawa. Bestfriend at talagang siya lang yata kinukuha ni Spielberg. Nominated din siya sa Oscar dahil dito at sa Memoirs of a Geisha na i know maganda rin.

I was surprised kasi hindi nominated ang cinematography. I love the 70's look of the film. The production design was really studied and it was awesome.

Of course i should not forget the ultimate element here. The "EDITING". It was so nifty. At first i thought it was a jigsaw conundrum but it turned out to be very amazing in the end. Michael Kahn's editing deserves an Oscar. His biggest rival will be the editor from Crash. Crash is well-edited too.

Let's talk bout the actors. Hulk's Eric Bana (Avner) is quiet amazing. You will love his eyes and his stylish beefcake shots. The new James Bond is also here. Daniel Craig (Steve) did good too. They are all good especially the extras. Watch out for them.

Who said this aint an OSCAR worthy film?
Probably a nincompoop terrorist.

Wow! Agree ako sa Golden Globe Awards at sa Academy Awards (OSCAR).

Ang galing ni Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash & Reese as June Carter Cash.
I love the life story of Johnny Cash. So inspirational!!! There was a reason why he was called the Man In Black of Music. SPOILER: There was an inspiration and it was his older brother who died so young and his father blamed him. Napaka-lonely ng childhood niya. Johnny grew up so poor and had a struggling married life.


He fought a good life for his family and used his talent in country/rock music. It was so inspirational. They say that "black" is a color of depression but Mr. Cash disagreed. It was the color of encouragement.

Then I realized may pagkakahawig pala ang life niya kay Ray Charles. Jamie Foxx was really good in that movie but Joaquin Phoenix is superb here. Wow, I was surprised with his amazing voice. Reese too is so adorable. She can sing the soul of country music. So evocative! Then i realized kahawig niya pala si American Idol Carrie Underwood. Carrie sings country too.

I love the sound mixing of the film. I heard it was nominated too. Im not really familiar with the music of Johnny Cash & June Carter but i love the songs!!! Country rock really rocks!!!

Watch this multi-awarded film.
If music is your life this will add some spice I guarantee. The film will be treasured especially to all Johnny Cash & June Carter fans out there.
