Last year, Epic Movie was the worst movie for me. When Meet The Spartans was released here, I wasn't planning to watch it. It never occurred to me to spend my dough on this coz I thought that this is just a sequel to Epic Movie.
I read some user reviews that this is better than Epic Movie. Ok the DVD was released so I gave it a shot.
I wa shocked coz the first scenes are funny! Oh my Gosh I couldn't believe that I was really laughing! The story is a spoof on “300”.
It's really funny to see the painted abs from the spartans.
Along the way, some product placements can be seen. Well, I don't get them. Maybe it's funny for the US viewers.
But the moment they ridiculed American Idol, Deal or No Deal, Dancing With The Stars and America's Next Top Model, hey I like it even more. The dancing part was a bit lenghty. It was boring after 2 minutes.
I like the Sanjaya part. I was also shocked to see the infamous “Leave, Britney Alone” Youtube sensation. It was hilarous. Poor Paris, Britney & Lindsay Lohan are spoofed too.
Sean Maguire is really good as well as Carmen Elektra. She's the worst supporting actress to date but she's quiet awesome here. Hey, she's hot you know!
If you get what they're trying to humor then good for you. I get their jokes. I find some jokes in the movie a bit funny.At least this is not boring anymore like Epic Movie.
Give it a try but don't expect a best spoof like Scary Movie 1. This is just OK. Quiet OK. Not really that Good OK. You know what I mean.
James was given a medical treatment after the tribal council. The doctor warned him if the wound doesn't look good in the morning then it needs to go to surgery.
The next morning Alexis was limping after taking a tumble in the dark and twisted her knee. Two castaways in dangerous conditions.
REWARD CHALLENGE: BODY SLAM
The Survivors will answer a series of questions about their tribemates in private. Jeff will then tally the results and ask them the same questions again, only this time, the castaways are trying to guess whose name came up the most often from the group. Each time they answer correctly, they get to chop one tribe member’s rope. Each tribemate has three ropes connected to a weight. Once all three ropes are chopped, the weight will drop, releasing a spring-loaded mallet crushing the effigies of the castaways, ending their game. The last Survivor with their effigy intact wins Reward. The Survivors shed tears of joy as Jeff brings out each of their loved ones. They all hold brief reunions before Jeff reveals that they are competing for a trip with their loved ones to Jellyfish Lake, where they will swim with thousands of non-stinging Jellyfish; a one of a kind experience.
Alexis won the challenge coz Cirie decided to let her win against Amanda in the final round. Alexis chose Natalie and Cirie to join with her in the reward. Amanda was sent to exile but Jeff told them that another Hidden Immunity Idol has been buried.
James was diagnosed that the infection has gotten worse and needs immediate surgery. James agreed to leave the game and go to a hospital. He was the 2nd person who left the game due to injury after Jonathan in the early days.
Cirie enjoyed the jellyfish swim so much with her hubby.
At Exile Island, Amanda was hunting for clues. She succeeded in getting the clues even the buried one. To her dismay it reveals that it's buried in their camp under the Dabu flag. Oh my God!!!!
The next morning, Natalie planned of getting rid of Amanda coz she thinks that she couldn't win against Amanda in the Final 3. Parvati just shrugged off about her plan. Parv has a tight bond with Amanda.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE: SHOOT TO THRILL The Dabu Tribe arrives at the Immunity Challenge as Amanda returns from Exile Island. Jeff Probst explains the rules. Each contestant will shoot a high-powered rifle attempting to hit individually-colored sake bottles. The first person to hit all three of their sake bottles wins Immunity.
As expected, Erik won the challenge. Natalie almost won this too.
Back at camp, Amanda told everyone that she didn't get the idol. She emptied her bag out on the beach. While the rest were preparing the chicken for dinner. Amanda secretly told Parv that the idol is hidden in their camp. Parv also told her that there is a plot against her by Natalie & Alexis.
Meanwhile, the fans agreed to vote out Amanda. Erik honestly spoke out in front of Amanda that he is voting for her. Amanda was so pissed about this news. Her only chance now is the tie vote with Cirie. Unfortunately, Cirie didn't want a risky tie vote. She told Amanda that she's also voting for her. Amanda was so hopeless already. She must find the IDOL!
Tribal Council
The jury composed of Eliza, Ozzy & Jason was shocked to see them without James. Afterwards, Jeff called James with an IV in tow. Amanda quickly accuse Erik of betrayal. Erik was speechless. The tribe except Parv was vocal about voting out Amanda. The casted then their votes one by one. Just before Jeff reads the votes aloud, a very joyful Amanda pulled out the Hidden Immunity Idol in her bag, playing it to save her life in the game and cancelling all votes casted for her. The tribe was stunned as Parvati and Amanda's two votes bounced back at Alexis in another unexpected brutal blindside. Alexis became the 14th person to leave the game, and the fourth member of the jury.
Good job Amanda!!!! Oh God I really love this episode. I must say this is an additional to the list of my favorite episodes in the history of Survivor!
Alexis final words:"Yeah I didn't see that one coming at all. But, this is a game, so yeah, I'm not mad at all. I think I made my papa proud. I never lied once when I was here. I kept a level of integrity of who I am outside of this game. I'm rooting for my girl Nat, not even a question. This is the hardest physical, mental, spiritual thing I've ever done, and I’m better for having been here."

Medyo late ko na napanood itong Manay Po 2, super busy ako at wala talagang time. Wala na akong time manood ng movies these days. Naubusan na ako ng budget honestly. May free night off last Sunday kaya pinanood ko na itong Overload ng 3 gay brothers.
Opening pa lang ng movie medyo OA na para sa akin. Ewan ko bakit hindi ako natuwa doon? Kung last time hataw sa patawa si Ms. Cherry Pie pero ngayon supporting na lang siya. Pelikula pala ni Rufa Mae ito? Nakakatuwa si Rufa Mae siya talaga nagdala ng movie kaso di lang kapanipaniwala character niya. She's a great comedy actress talaga!
Polo Ravales- hmmm... wala lang. Sexy pero di gaanong challenging ang role unlike sa part 1. John Prats – at least nakakatawa pa rin pero kulang na ang mga scenes. Jiro Manio – medyo siya ang angat sa 3 kasi nagdadalaga na role niya parang si John Prats sa Part 1.
Kung sa Part 1 kwelang kwela ako kina Giselle Sanchez at IC Mendoza, dito wala na eh. Ang mga hirit ni Giselle hindi na effective. Si IC konti rin lang dialogue.
Ang kapansin pansin dito eh si Sid Lucero. Nakita ko na siya sa Batanes at nagustuhan ko siya doon. Guapo ang hunk na ito tapos ang boses niya kakaiba. May pagkapaos pero sexy pakinggan. Ni-researched ko talaga si Sid kung sino ba siya. Gulat ako anak pala ni Mark Gil ito? Kaya pala may talent. Eigenmann pala siya!.
Nagustuhan ko ba story nito? Well, ok ang concept kasi hindi option ang adoption kundi artifical insemenation pinag-usapan para magkaroon ng anak ang gay couple na sila Polo at Sid.
May part na nakakatuwa pero most of the time corny na eh.
Marami ring mali lalo na sa story nila John at yung baguhang young actor na di ko man lang nakilala. Maraming bakit bakit bakit paano paano bakit sa story nila. Di ko nagustuhan.
Basta OA ang ibang parts na ewan ko ba bakit di man lang pinansin ng direktor nito na si Joel Lamangan.
Ang nakakatuwa lang kasi walang ads sa movie. Himala! Halos lahat kasi ng mga movies ni Lamangan may commercial ads talaga na sinisingit na nakakairita. Dito wala akong napansin. Hmmm.. walang sponsor na nakuha yata?
Anyway, mag-eenjoy pa rin naman mga gays nito kasi may parts nga na nakakatawa pero hindi lang lahat effective. Halatang minadali ang movie na ito. Opinion ko lang ito. I love the first movie at bumili pa ako ng DVD pero ito? Kahit renta di ko gagawin siguro.
Amanda was pissed off with the blindside vote out of Ozzy. James was furious too. He hates Parvati now.
Parvati also told James about her plan to have an All-Female Final 3.
Cirie & Parvati apologized also to Amanda for blindsiding Ozzy. Amanda doesn't trust them now.
REWARD CHALLENGE: SURVIVOR AUCTION
First item: Covered
Cirie bid for $120. Jeff sold it. It was a hotdog and fries
Second item: Covered
Erik bid for $80. Jeff sold it but he told him that he can exchange it with an another covered item. He switched. The first item was an octopus and luckily he got the tray of nachos.
Third item: Covered
Natalie bid for $240. Jeff sold it. To her dismay it was a bowl of fruit bat soup. She ignored it but James volunteered to eat it.
Fourth item : A glass of milk and jelly sandwich
Amanda bid for $280. Jeff sold it.
Fifth item: Covered
Natalie bid for $240. Jeff sold it. It wasn't food instead a note telling her to send someone to exile island immediately and keep all the of the exiled money. She picked Jason. Jeff told them that there is a new re-hidden immunity idol coz Ozzy didn't use the last one.
Last item : Covered
Natalie bid for $340. Jeff sold it. It was a huge chocolate cake. It must be shared with three other people, but they only have 60 seconds to do so. She choose Alexis, Cirie, and Parvati and the girls chowed down on the chocolate cake, icing all over their fingers and faces.
To my surprise! Erik offered Cirie $40 to lick the icing off her fingers. She agreed. Ha ha ha!
This episode is full of Natalie's confessions. She's great though as a devil bitch. I love her. The tribe was worried for sending Jason to exile coz he might find the HII. Natalie said: "Jason's on Exile. We all want him gone. The little bitch now has two days of sunshine with the Immunity Idol. Guaranteed hands down: bitch will find it."
In Exile Island, Jason was searching for the HII. He found it. He was so happy.
THE BLACK WIDOW BRIGADE
The five girls, Parvati, Cirie, Amanda, Alexis, and Natalie, held a group meeting around the Dabu campfire. The girls concocted a plan for Natalie to convince Jason that James will be the one voted out next, making Jason comfortable enough to choose not to play his Hidden Immunity Idol. If it works, the girls can blindside Jason at Tribal Council.
By the way. Erik celebrated his birthday with no feast. The girls decided to spare Erik as their birthday gift for him. He will in the island for few more days.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE: POOL PARTY The Dabu tribe arrives at the Immunity Challenge as Jason returns from Exile Island. Jeff Probst explains the rules to the three-part challenge. First Survivors will race to throw rocks at individual tiles. Once broken, it will release a bundle of puzzle pieces. The first four to break their tile move on to the next round where they will dig in the sand for a key to unlock their bundle of puzzle pieces. They will then use the pieces to form a wheel, place it on a wench, and spin the wheel to lower a set of planks. The first two people to lower their planks move on to the third and final round. Here they will use their planks to cross a rope bridge spanning the length of a pool of water. They will then make their way across a series of disks suspended over a large gap. The first person to cross and reach the final platform wins Immunity.
As the Survivors take their places, Natalie pulls Jason aside and whispers in his ear to let anyone win except James: they're all going to vote James out tonight. Jason takes this as good news and whispers back to her that he knew she sent him to Exile Island for a reason
First round : break the tiles Jason, Erik, James & Amanda moved to the nest round.
Second round: Dig the key,unlock the puzzle and lower their planks. Erik & James got through.
Last round: cross the rope bridge and disks to the platform.
Erik won Immunity and the girls of Dabu cheered as James’ loss cemented their plans for Tribal Council.
Back at camp, Natalie assured Jason that they will vote out James that night. Jason believed her. But the girls were planning to blindside him.
Tribal Council James outed Parvati that she was the mastermind of Ozzy's last blindside. Ozzy was surprised and pissed.
After the voting, Jeff asked if anyone is in possession of the Hidden Immunity and would like to play it, now is the time to do so. Jason didn't play the Idol. Jeff read the votes and the stunned Jason got 4 votes, James got 3 while Parvati got 1 from James. Jason became the 13th person voted out of SURVIVOR: MICRONESIA -- FANS VS FAVORITES and the third member of the jury.
Jason's last words: "I was definitely played today by Natalie and the rest of the girls. They did the same thing in voting out Ozzy. I should have been a little more wary of what they were telling me. What they did tonight will definitely come back to haunt them as I'm sitting up there on the jury. I just wish I would have been a little smarter and played the Hidden Immunity Idol when I had the chance."

After returning to camp, the rest of the gang confronted Jason about Eliza's fake immunity idol.
REWARD CHALLENGE: BAI BAI The Dabu tribe arrives at the Reward Challenge, where they are divided into two teams of four. One by one, members of each team will swim out to a multi-level tunnel of nets partially submerged in a lagoon and race through it. Once through the tunnel, they'll swim to a platform and study a collection of Micronesian symbols, memorizing their positions on the answer key. They will then make their way back through the net tunnel to the start and arrange duplicate symbols on an answer board in the same positions as the answer key on the platform. The first team to match all their symbols correctly wins the Reward: a flight to a neighboring island nation, Yap, where they will enjoy a local dance, feast, and spend the night in an ancient village, returning to their camp the following morning.
PURPLE TEAM: Natalie, James, Parvati, and Alexis ORANGE TEAM: Jason, Erik, Ozzy, and Amanda
Cirie wasn't picked so she was sent to Exile Island.
It was a close race. Neck to neck. Purple was the first team to confirm Jeff that they got it right unfortunately they were wrong. Amanda the last one to solve from the Orange team took some time with some help from her team. Jeff declared them as winners in this reward challenge.
The winning team enjoyed a feast at Yap. More food and some cultural celebrations. Erik was shocked to see some topless ladies. It was cute to see him that way. When they returned to the camp Ozzy told everything what happened in Yap. They were jealous of course. Ozzy was kinda arrogant.
Back in Exile Island, Cirie was shivering coz rain was pouring down for days. She promised that she will work a plan on how to get rid of Ozzy and his idol.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE: WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS Dabu arrives at the Immunity Challenge where Cirie rejoins the tribe from Exile Island. Host Jeff Probst explains the rules. In this challenge the Survivors will test their resolve. Standing on a log, with one of their hands raised above their head, they will be tethered to a line stretching up to a bucket filled with water perched over their head. If they drop their arm, or pull on the line, it will tip the bucket, dousing them with water and taking them out of the challenge. The last person left standing wins Immunity, and is guaranteed a one in eight shot at a million dollars.
After 20 minutes: Jeff offered them a big bowl of Candy. Cirie & Erik made a deal to share. They quit. After 45 minutes, Jeff came with something behind his back, Alexis got too excited and quit. Jeff didn't give the cookie and milk that he was hiding coz he didn't it reveal it yet when Alexis quit. She was pissed. Ha ha ha! Natalie tumbled off her step coz she was feeling dizzy. James was laughing so hard unfortunately he lose his concentration and spilled his bucket.
After 1 hour, Jeff came back with 3 choco glazed donuts. Ozzy didn't hesitate and dropped his arm.
After 5 hours, Amanda purposefully dropped her arm coz she needs to pee.
So it was a fight between Parvati & Jason.
After 6 hours, Jeff brought out a tray filled with goodies: three chocolate chip cookies, four doughnuts, a big tall jar of candy, peanut butter, two chocolate bars, a glass of milk, two beers, and a huge pizza.
Parvati told Jason “You could make friends!. The tribe agreed, The guaranteed him that they won't vote for him in the tribal council. So he dropped his arm and Parvati won the challenge.
Back at camp, Jason thinking if he made the right decision. He was really worried. Meanwhile, Cirie convinced Parvati, Natalie, and Alexis to blindside Ozzy. They must not tell Amanda, James & Erik.
Tribal Council
A surprising result happened. AN UNEXPECTED SUCCESSFUL BLINDSIDE in the history of Survivor. Ozzy didn't play his hidden immunity idol. Jeff read the results. Jason got 4 votes but Ozzy unfortunately got 5 votes. Parvati betrayed their original alliance. Ozzy, completely blindsided and betrayed, became the twelfth person out of the game, and the second member of the jury in SURVIVOR: MICRONESIA -- FANS VS FAVORITES.
I love Eliza's orgasmic reaction when Ozzy was voted out.
