Beowulf is a fantasy film directed by Robert Zemeckis. He directed the animation film “The Polar Express” and they also used a special technique of motion capture animation here. Yeah, this is in animation but it looks real this time. The eyes are really glowing now. Everything looks almost authentic.

I read that this is based from an Old English poem of the same name. I haven’t read it and I think I won’t coz I’m not into Anglo-Saxon poems. According to WIKI , Beowulf is the single major surviving work and the longest poem that has come down to us from Old English. Cool huh?

Back to the film! It was a great experience coz I watched it on the 1st day and again we are 3 days ahead from the US viewers. Thanks Warner Brothers for distributing this in advance with everybody else in the world.

The “Beowulf-feeling” is like watching “The Polar Express” again but there’s a mixture of awe-inspiring Lord of the Rings and 300 combined.

This adaptation of Beowulf tells the story of a Heroic Geat who travels over seas to come to the aid of Legendary King Hrothgar to help rid the people of Heorot of the monster troll known as Grendel. But by defeating Grendel he incurs the wrath of his evil yet seductive mother, without any scales and claws. Told to kill the mother by Hrothgar, Beowulf enters her cave and becomes the latest victim in a century old tradition of deceit and destruction that has sentenced many kings and their kingdoms to misery and death.

The film is really scorching coz Beowulf is too damn sexy for a hero. He is comparable to King Leonidas of 300. That gorgeous washboard abs reminds me of him. The 1st fight with “Grendel” is the sexiest fight scene I have ever seen in my entire life.
Hint: DON”T BLINK YOU EYES while watching them.

Even if it’s in animation I’m sure Beowulf will titillate your sex sense.
I hate you Mr. Zemeckis coz you are a genius!!! I love the way you concealed Beowulf’s mighty sword. He he he!

Ray Winstone is amazing. He captured the heroic performance. He is pitch-perfect as Beowulf. His voice is really valiant.

I told you the film is really sizzling. Oh God! The “Golden Angelina Jolie” is indeed a tempting monster. She is marvelously animated. I wanna be cursed too.

Her accent is still an enigma to me. I just can’t take Angelina’s lines out of my head.

Technically, the film is superb. I love Alan Silvestre’s music. I love the 2nd song of Queen Wealtheow. The song is” A Hero Comes Home” and it was performed by Robin Wright Penn. Her voice is haunting and I had goose bumps listening to it.

Expect to be awed with the film’s glorious visual and sound effects.
If you love the trailer then there’s more to see in the film.

C’mon pls. catch this great film! Watching it in a conventional cinema gave me a heavenly sensation what more if I will watch in IMAX 3D. I’m sure I will thaw watching a huge Beowulf on the screen.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
