SURVIVOR MICRONESIA
FANS VS FAVORITES
EP. 4
Watch the whole episode 4:
HIGHLIGHTS
Post-war from Malakal's last tribal council. Word war from Cirie & Jonathan again.
Eliza from Malakal was ill. She had a tonsillitis.
Chet from Airai was also sick & tired. They threatened him that he would be next to go if they'll go the tribal council.
Reward Challenge: Diver Down
The Fans and Favorites arrive at the Reward Challenge where Jeff Probst explains the rules. Four tribe members will swim out to a floating platform and dive down to a 30-foot long steel cage submerged in the water. They must retrieve from the cage ten tribe-colored coconuts with letters on them. Pushing the coconuts the length of the cage through an opening at the end, tribes must retrieve the coconuts one-by-one and place them in a wooden bin floating above the cage. After all 10 coconuts are in the bin, they must swim the loaded bin back to shore where the four remaining tribe members will use the letters on the coconuts to unscramble a ten-letter word. First tribe to unscramble the word wins 3 egg-laying hens and a rooster. In addition, the winning tribe will send a member from both tribes to Exile Island.
Ozzy really rocks!!!! He took underwater and moved out the other coconuts for his tribe to the front of the cage. The fans struggled to catch u coz Ozzy's plan really worked out.
Tthe Favorites won the Reward. For the third time in a row, the Favorites sent a distraught Kathy to Exile Island, with Ozzy to accompany her.
The bgiggest higlight in this episode would be:
OZZY FOUND THE IMMUNITY IDOL AT EXILE ISLAND!
He also did what Yau Man's joke in Fiji. He carved another fake idol and stashed it again.
Immunity Challenge: Crosswalk
The tribes arrive at the Challenge where Kathy and Ozzy return from Exile Island and rejoin their respective tribes. Jeff Probst explains the rules to the Immunity Challenge. Tribes will race to open six locks releasing a large six-point sliding hub. Harnessing themselves into the hub, tribes will maneuver through a large obstacle course by shifting, sliding, and adjusting each other in their hub. Along the way they will collect six tribal bead necklaces. Once all six necklaces are collected, the remaining two tribe members will match up the colored beads on the necklace with the corresponding letters on a decoding wheel to spell a three-word phrase. First tribe to decipher the phrase wins Immunity.
Guess what” This task was so easy for the FAVORITES!
They won again!
In Airai, there was a strong argument whether to vote off the wak Chet or finish Joel's plan from the start. Vote odd Mikey B. Mikey B knew all along that he was on the chopping block. Tracy also made a bargaining agreement with Joel to finish the plan.
At the tribal council, Jason & Mikey pointed out that their tribe must remain strong and they should vote out the weakest.
In the end, Tracy’s hard bargaining skills pay off. The tribe casted their votes sending Mikey B home 6 votes to 3, he became the fourth person voted out of SURVIVOR: MICRONESIA -- FANS VS FAVORITES.

AMERICAN GAY SEX TRIP
ANOTHER GAY MOVIE
Rip-off ito ng American Pie series. “Another Gay Movie” daw. Well, na-curious tuloy ako. I watched it and this time mga gays nga ang magkakabarkada na gustong ma-divirginize sa ass bago mag-college.
Bading na bading as in OUT. This time “dyke” ang bida.
Watch this clip:
Andaming anal sex scenes dito. ASS IN DAMI!!!!!
I don't know kung gays nga sila. The first Sole Survivor Richard Hatch, international gay icon raw. Well, kung sa Survivor Borneo at All Stars all out naked siya. Hmmm... dito WALA! At last nakita rin ang kanyang small dick!!! Yucks!
Well, putang inang titi yun. Nakakatakot talaga sa haba! Natawa na lang ako!
Watch another clip:
Well, isa ito sa mga worst gross out comedy flicks na either magugustuhan mo o isusuka mo. Well, sad to say nagustuhan ko siya kasi malibog ako.
So enjoy or hate the fun in this gay movie that sucks...
Sucks daw? Ha ha ha!!!!

HOLLYWOOD'S NOT AMERICA
This is my current fav song!
I just love listening to this song over and over and over....
This is the exit song in the 7th season of American Idol.
Ferras is a promising artist.I like him!
I hope he won't be a one-hit-wonder just like Daniel Powter whose
song “Bad Day” was also used as an exit song.

BEATLES' UNIVERSE FOREVER
ACROSS THE UNIVERSE
We are all familiar with some of the Beatles' songs but to hear them in a stylish and enigmatic way it's just different. That's my initial reaction when I first heard the song “Girl” in the opening scene.
Girl
Jim Sturgess has an amazing voice. His eyes are talking to every song he sings and I really see Paul & John in his character. He is really charismatic despite being a newcomer. There are songs in which he performed in the film that I really burst into tears I love watching “Across The Universe” in the subway, “Something” during her painting session with Lucy and the song they saved for last “ All We Need Is Love.Oh God it's just amazing to hear him rendering an a capella of the song on the first & second verse at the roof top. He made me weep so much. Jim is a promising good actor.
Something
All We Need is Love
I think what's amazing about listening and watching to the Beatles' songs in this film is how they arranged & visualized them. The passion is still there and you can feel the sincerity of the lyrics.
I Want To Hold Your Hand
Just like in the song “I Want To Hold Your Hand”, the original is an upbeat pop while the new version is a sad ballad about lesbianism. It's really cool. TV Carpio who plays Prudence sang this one and she is really awesome! “Hey Jude” also has a remarkable version performed by Joe Anderson. The famous line from the song that goes” na na na na na!! na na na na na!!!! Hey Jude!... is so lachrymose for me.
Hey Jude
Evan Rachel Wood from the movie “Thirteen” and the unforgettable Green Day video “Wake Me Up When September Ends” has some beautiful songs too. She is not a good singer though but you will like her renditions. After listening to her “It Won't Be Long”, I just can't get it outa of my head. That song is infectious.I also like her take of “If I Fell”. She also performed Blackbird later in the film but I think Sarah McLachlan's version featured in “I Am Sam” OST which is also a tribute album to the Beatles is the best so far.
It Wont Be Long
If I Fell
Blackbird
Julie Taymor did a good job directing this film. She directed the Oscar nominated “Frida” by the way. She has ways of hypnotizing the audience with her dreamy scenes. I love the underwater montage in the scene of “Because”.That's my fav highlight in the film.
The story of “Across the Universe is ephemeral but don't worry coz the fresh interpretation of the songs saved it.
This is quiet similar to the “Moulin Rouge” except for the “wow” factor of Baz Luhrmann's film.
I loved all the cameo parts with Bono as a Merry Prankster singing “I Am A Watrus,” Joe Cocker singing “Come Together” and Eddie Izzard performing "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite." “Frida” star Salma Hayek is charming as the Singing Nurse.
The reason why I am mesmerized with this one is because of the cinematography. It reminds me of “Amelie”.No wonder coz Bruno DelBonnes was in charged of the photography. It's daring and brilliant.
Across The Universe is one of the most endearing musical films of our modern generation. I'm sure “all or maybe” some Beatles' fans will love and treasure this one.
Yeah, all we need is love.

CIRIE'S VOLITION & THE WICKED STORM
SURVIVOR MICRONESIA
EPISODE 3 HIGLIGHTS
Watch Ep. 3 now:
In Fans tribe, Mikey B confronted Joel on his move of blindsiding Mary. He was pissed off.
In Malakal, the alliance of James, Ozzy, Parvati & Amanda tried to convince Eliza to join their group and targetted Yau & Cirie for being the weakest. She declined.
REWARD CHALLENGE:
Oh my God Jeff Probst is really good looking in the rain!
The Tribes receiveD Treemail consisting of a Survivor Comfort Catalogue and war paint. Learning there is to be an "aggressive meeting" between the Fans and Favorites, both Tribes are instructed to select three reward items from the catalogue, which they will acquire if they win the Reward Challenge
Both tribes start at opposite sides of a watery playing field in their opponent's end zone. On "Go," the two tribes will charge across the lagoon to their own end zone on the opposite side, carrying three heavy canvas bags. The tribe's goal is to get their three bags, plus two bags from the enemy tribe, into their respective end zones. To make things interesting, tribes can steal bags from their opponent's end zones even after the opponent has scored. First Tribe to get any five bags in their end zone at once wins Reward. The Favorites, having chosen three items from the Survivor Catalogue, will be playing for a shelter kit, a lighting kit, and a survival kit, while the Fans selected to play for a fishing kit, a shelter kit, and a kitchen set.
James proved once agaain to be strongest Survivor. He was pissed when he saw Amanda was thrown back over his head. I was scared that moment. James saved his tribe. They won!!!!
The victorious Favorites took home the shelter kit containing tarp and ropes, a lighting kit containing a lamp and fire supplies, and a survival kit containing tools. In addition, the Favorites sent Kathy, once again, to Exile Island, and Ami eagerly volunteered to go from their own tribe.
The Storm In Micronesia.
Poor fans. They were struggling the whole night coz the storm was really bad. Meanwhile, the favorites were just doing good in the cave.
The fans woke up the next morning after the storm shivering and hungry.
Immunity Challenge: Nut Bucket
Each tribe will choose two men and two women to hold a rope tethered to a giant hanging net basket. Members of the opposing tribe will attempt to shoot coconuts into the net. The more coconuts a tribe successfully throws into the other tribe's net, the heavier that net becomes. The tribe that holds their net up the longest wins Immunity and is safe from Tribal Council.
James, Jonathan, Cirie, and Parvati held the net for the Favorites; Joel, Erik, Tracy, and Natalie held the net for the Fans. All other tribe members alternate taking shots at the nets.
As the fans were shooting their coconuts, Jonathan was making fun of them doing some trash talking. I guess that made the fans so furious. The fans were really good in their shots and eventually the favorites' rope slipped from their grasps. THE FANS WON THE IMMNUNITY!!!!
Before going to tribal council, there was a huge campaigning to get Cirie's vote.
Jonathan, Ami, Yau, and Eliza , JAYE'S alliance was targetting Parvati. In JOPA, Eliza was the target.
Cirie wanted Yau out.
Tribal Council
At Tribal Council, Jonathan attacked Cirie for flipping on their original alliance.
Word war!!! Word war!!!
In the end, the JOPA alliance gave in, following Cirie's volition and votedYau-Man out of the game and sparing Eliza. With six of the nine votes cast against him, Yau-Man Chan became the third person voted out of SURVIVOR: MICRONESIA -- FANS VS FAVORITES.
Bye Yau Man!!!!
Well, this episode was OK. I was just sad to see Yau went home a bit early. Still, the fans didn't have enough screen time esp. Erik, Tracy & Natalie.

NO COUNTRY FOR OSCAR'S RACE
NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN
Oscar Awards is coming already. The front runner “No Country for Old Men' is not yet being shown in the Philippines so I have no choice but to borrow the screener's copy from a friend.
The film opens with such a grandiose cinematography. I said to myself hands down to the director of photography. Roger Deakins will win here no doubt about it. It's really beautiful. So beautiful!
At first, I felt so uneasy coz it started so slow. It was a bit boring. But the moment Javier Bardem's character Anton Chigurh was introduced the intensity has already started and fear will cover you as the film goes on.
This is the first time that I was scared so much. Some horror/gory films just can't creep me out but not this one. The film is not only creepy but it's disturbingly scary. Hats off to Snape I mean Anton Chigurh. His hairstlye reminds me of Snape. Ha ha ha! Javier Bardem is the sure shot to win the Supporting Role. Oh God I will kill the voters if he won't bag that statuette.
Josh Brolin also did good but not enough to convince an award consideration. I'm not familiar with Josh honestly. I recently bought the DVD of The Goonies. It's an old movie produced by Steven Spielberg. You know what Josh is there and he is still young and yummy. He is still hot right now maybe if he's naked. He he he.
Tommy Lee Jones is just fine. Kelly McDonald? Wow she can really act and still look so charming. I remember her from Nanny McPhee.
Hats off to the remarkable direction! The Coens Brothers have been faithful to the novel. There are a lot of silent scenes in the film and these will haunt you The only thing that worth complaining is the fucking ending! What? That's it??? Are you serious? Is that the end? C'mon are you crazy to end a best picture like this? You will complain when you see the credits rolling but afterwards you will realize that it is really a classic masterpiece after all.
Of all the 5 films contending for BEST PICTURE, this is my 2nd bet. Atonement is still my 1st bet but Juno is the dark horse in the race.
For technical awards, expect No Country For Old Men to rake in many Oscars.
But I can predict that this will WIN for BEST PICTURE!!!!!!!
RATING : 4.5 /5 *

THERE GOES THE SCORCHING NEIGHBORHOOD!!
HOT FUZZ
I've never heard of this British film last year. Hot Fuzz? Nah...it isn't shown here yet. I didn't see the trailer either but some peeps are raving about this film. They were saying that this is explosively funny and it's really good! I couldn't wait to watch it on the big screen. Then I heard from a friend that the DVD is out already so I didn't hesitate to buy a copy immediately.
Hot Fuzz is a British film. Thanks God for the subtitles coz if I am watching this in a cinema I think I wouldn't get the humor. It's really hard to grasp their deep accent you know. Reading the subtitles is really fun. I was laughing throughout the film. I love the British humor! I always love their humor.
I think Simon Pegg should be nominated for his performance here as Nicholas Angel. I like him and I find him so very sexy and awesome. You will love his witty acting. He also co-wrote the script and he did a goos job.
The supporting actors are splendid! Nick Frost as the Danny Butterman is really hilarious
as Angel's buddy, Jim Broadbent as Sandford's Chief Inspector proved his marvelous acting once again. Timothy Dalton also surprised me here. There are a lot of British actors who have shining moments here.
What's amazing about Hot Fuzz is the story. This is a gag about police/crime/action stuff sprinkled with some Brit humor wallah the result is magnificent. Love it love it love it!
It's really bloody! Some scenes are quiet bloody/gory sometimes but you'll end up laughing and not be scared. The last few scenes are really violent but cinematic. If you love explosive chasing car scenes, well, Hot Fuss has some chasing scenes to offer and you'll adore Simon Pegg in it.
It's sad that this film is not yet being shown in the Philippines. I don't know if it will be released here.
Guys just don't miss this one. Buy the DVD I'm sure you will love it.
