APHRODISIAC HORROR

JENNIFER'S BODY

After falling in love with Diablo Cody for creating a wonderful character named Juno, I think I'm just one of her rabid fans who's excited to see her latest offering. Jennifer's Body is a very out-of-the-way movie. There's so much going on in this movie. The movie is too busy with everything. The lead actresses have a flabbergasting snogging in the history of Hollywood cinema. I can't still get it outta my head. This movie is really fresh but sometimes the outlandishness makes this movie a little bit off. I'm still ambivalent.

FILM PREMISE : This is the tale of two teenage best friends, Jennifer and Needy. Both have opposite personalities. Jennifer is the hottest chick while Needy is the unattractive nerd. One night, they go out to a grungy bar, apparently to hear a band. Jennifer seduces the lead singer/guitarist Nikolai, As the band plays their song, the bar catches fire, afterwards the bar explodes killing several people. Needy and Jennifer escape. However, Jennifer decides to go with the band for a fun night. To her shock, she finds out that she will be offered to Satan and be killed as a virgin. Fortunately, she's still alive the next day, but she turns into a succubus who kills people specifically guys.

It's safe to say that Diablo is a talented writer. I love her style. Actually, the script is still “Junoish”. Cody's dialogue is really amusing. I find the lines very nifty and funny. Again, the famous Diablocraft narration is still here. The only thing worth grumbling is the opening scene. It's a major spoiler in the entire movie and it apparently destroys the excitement. The reason why it's weird coz the movie really makes you horny. Blame Megan Fox! She's a hot monster! While being horny, the movie also makes you want to puke. Blame the gut-wrenching gory scenes this time. This is supposed to be a horror movie but it's not actually scary. I couldn't imagine a very sexy Megan Fox to be frightening. Hell no! She's a hot devil! Diablo have won an Oscar for her Juno screenplay but I'm not really expecting an award for her this time. This is not an Oscar material but the magic of her writing skills may grow on you.

The horror they are presenting here is kinda edgy for high school students but it won't give chills for the adults. The movie is really sexy. Can I say scorching sexy!??? There is a very shocking scene to me in the mid-part of the movie. The scene is shot so close-up and it may shock some guys out there. There is a naughty lesbian kiss between Jennifer and Needy. It's just weird coz it appears out of nowhere! These chicks dig guys and yet we see them snogging like hungry wolves.Honestly, the movie has a decent special effects. The soundtrack is so emo. The songs are heavily played in the entire movie. Since I am not a huge huge fan of this genre. I just find the songs forgettable.

Megan Fox was born to play the role of Jennifer. Her character is aphrodisiac and a bit of a bitch. Oh yeah she's so bitchy! Fox tries so hard but she's not really amazing. She's just hot. Period. But I like her acting during the virgin offering, I love her sexy vociferation. Jennifer’s Body is actually Amanda Seyfried’s picture. She’s terrific. Her eyes is really magnetizing. You know how she feels and she makes Needy the character to love. It's also weird that nerdy people can get laid sometimes. I thought they're busy with books and everything. Johnny Simmons as Chip is cute to watch. I find him actually funny during the condom scene. Adam Brody who plays Nikolai the leader of the band quietly steals some scenes here.

Jennifer's Body is not to be taken seriously. Just watch it and don't ponder so deep. Focus on Megan Fox alone and the movie is already worth watching (if you're into this stuff). It’s one of those rare teen horror movies these days. This is all about wicked fun. This movie is kinda perfect for a Halloween sleep over.
