INTERSECTED & REJECTED IN PRAGUE

TAR ASIA 2 LEG 9

For the nth time Marc and Rovilson was the first team again to leave the pitstop

CLUE: Teams must now travel by train and return to Prague, where they have to head to Petrin Hill and visit the Observation Tower. On their way up, teams must count the correct number of steps that will bring them to the top of the tower. A correct answer will get them their next clue.

But the first train will leave at 4:20am. Equalizer again.
So Magnum Pi, Boring Gym Buddies, DH & the Thais were just waiting for the train.

The Chongs were boarding the next train.
Henry & Terri were still sleeping coz they will be leaving the Pit Stop in 5 hours after the Chongs.

The DH & BGB searched on Google that there are 299 steps leading up the Observation Tower. It’s a good strategy by the way.

That’s why the BGB was the first on the tower and got the clue right away but quickly followed by our Magnum PI.
Paula & Natasha tried 3 times on the stairs coz they were wrong twice.

Next CLUE:
Head down and make their way to Strelecky Island, on Vltava River for their next clue.

At the river, the next clue comes attached to a compass. Teams must use a row boat and row 140 degrees south-east, using the compass as a guide. Following the right course will lead teams to their next clue.

Performance:
BGB- pathetic rowing
Magnum PI – the best rower was Rovilson. He was.so quick!
DH- struggling
Chongs – also struggling
Thais- slow slow slow struggling

Next CLUE:
Teams must now head on to Prague Castle, the world's largest ancient castle, for their next clue.

At the castle a big surprise!
INTERSECTION!

In an Intersection, a team must pair up with another team and complete tasks together as a foursome, until they are told that they can resume the race with their original partners.

Teams must make their way to the Ice Hockey Arena in Prague 9 and shoot goals from three different points in the arena. They will only get their clue when a total of 12 goals have been scored.

So BGB & Magnum decided to team up.
The DH arrived third and just waiting for the next team to arrive.
It was The Chongs who came in 4th and upon reading the clue, the sisters decided without hesitation, to team with Ann and Diane.

So it means that Paula & Natasha will be waiting for Henry & Terri who were 5 hours behind. At that moment, Terri and Henry are just leaving the pitstop for Prague.

At the ice hockey, it was an easy task for the boys.
So they got their next clue:

DETOUR: Snap or Roll. In Snap, teams must take a photograph of three historic monuments in Prague and bring them to the statue of Josef Manes for verification. In roll, teams must collect two 50 liter beer kegs and deliver them to the Admiral Boatel for their next clue.

They picked roll.
The 2 Malaysian teams first picked Snap but got lost and decided to switch task.

After their delivery of the kegs it was the end of the Intersection and both teams are now operating independently. Teams must now head to the swimming pool in Prague 4 for their next clue.

ROADBLOCK
Arriving at the pool, teams are now faced with a roadblock, a task that only one member can perform. The person must head up the dive board of the indoor pool, and make a 10 meter drop into the pool, before picking up their next clue.

1ST TO DIVE: ROVILSON
2ND TO DIVE; COLIN

Meanwhile H & T arrived at the castle greeted by the cheering Paula & Natasha.
By this time, Pamela, Vanessa, Ann and Diane had completed the tedious Roll task

3rd to Dive – Vanessa
4th to Dive – Ann

This was an intense moment. Right after picking the clue, Pamela noticed that Vanessa cut her lip during the jump. Not only that, it seemed like Vanessa lost her memories in the race. She was confused what’s going on.
I was really worried for them.

The last two teams in the race, the foursome of Paula, Natasha, Henry and Terri easily got their pucks into the goal net and picked Snap as their Detour.

WHO WAS FIRST TO THE PIT STOP AT Vrtbovska Garden?

TEAM #1 -Marc and Rovilson AGAIN!!! They won a Sony Handycam.
TEAM #2 – Adrian & Colin
TEAM#3- Ann & Diane
TEAM#4- Pamela & Vanessa

So it’s a race between Paula, Natasha, Henry and Terri.

Luckily for the Thais coz they got the taxi that ignored Terri & Henri.
They really begged.

TEAM#5 – Paula & Natasha

LAST TEAM – Terri & Henri for the 3rd time.
Finally and sad to say they were eliminated.

I’ve been to Prague many times and I never get sick of it. This last time that I was there I saw live all the Slavia matches with Liberec, it’s a pity I wasn’t in Prague anymore when they won the last game and were champions. Anyway the environment in the stadium is amazing nothing like brutal hooligans from football.
Last time I was there for 15days. I found the city beautiful, like a fairytale land, the towers, the castles and the cathedral gives the city that mystic ambient that I love. Yes the crown is stronger and stronger! But the best beer in the world is still cheap.
I love Czech people they are very nice and friendly and also a literate society, as you can see here in this government document. Besides the small streets I loved the place we slept in I’ll leave you here a very good site about Prague hotels, they are cheap and very pleasant. Incase you decide to come back.
